Book Review: THE TRUTH ABOUT CAFFEINE

THE TRUTH ABOUT CAFFEINE by Marina Kushner

A better title for this book would have been ‘The Shocking Truth About Caffeine’, such was the effect after reading this book.

Caffeine is the most commonly consumed poison on our planet and is regarded as okay by both the medical profession and the lay person. Caffeine is not only in tea and coffee but is an additive in foods and medicine. Considering caffeine is odourless and has a slightly bitter taste, why is it added to our foods? The theory is to make us addicted to the very food it is added to.

Caffeine may not cause diseases per se, but it prevents the body from its normal rejuvenating and healing processes as it is busy trying to eliminate caffeine from its system. Caffeine leaves the body in half-lives so it can compound as more is consumed. In children it is eliminated at a much slower rate.

Several conditions are cited as vastly improved or completely healed after removing caffeine from the diet including Parkinson’s disease, fibrocystic lumps, gastrointestinal disorders, tachycardia, convulsions, anxiety, sluggishness, compulsive behaviours, muscle twitching, rambling thoughts and speech, insomnia, flush face, tremors and exposure to heavy metals.

Caffeine is fatal in excess of 5g and many deaths have been documented in this book. As a result of listing to this book, (on my iPhone via audible.com) I have stopped my decades long habit of 2-3 cups of tea a day with some pleasing and surprising results.

Client Feedback

I find having kinesiology relaxing someway when I am stressed. It’s interesting how when you are muscle testing you can find out stuff. About what could be wrong. After the testing I feel like I understand myself better and then I know what to do. Aged 12 years.
